Review:
My favorite movie of all time. This was a faulty piece of work by Coppola and seeing the documentary Heart of Darkness was even more attractive. Coppola at this stage was the king of Hollywood after making The Godfather and The Godfather, and had developed the ego necessary to even dare to try to make a movie like Apocalypse Now. Pure arrogance, went to the Philippines with a partial manuscript and thought he knew what he would do if he got there. Just like Captain Willard thought about what to do when he received the compound Kurtzs colonel. And just as Willard, does not know what he would do when he got there. This is a masterpiece of American cinema, beautifully photographed and the river is a perfect metaphor and the background of the story. What I like most about Apocalypse Now is not providing answers or conclusions. Therefore, since this open-endedness, it ignites some viewers who like their films are much more pronounced. This film defies categorization. Some call it a war movie, which is not at all, it is really more of a personal study plan for man. The best photo from Vietnam Platoon is my opinion, and if the viewer wants to go to the Vietnam war retelling of the answers there. Coppola is to be commended her to take the bureaucracy of war, which is expressed very effectively in meeting Gen.Corman and Lucas (Harrison Ford) and review Playmate. The audacity Kilgore makes him an unforgettable character and the attack at dawn is always classic.It Hollywood is almost surreal psychedelic cruise very end of the film that makes it available to everyone. Very hard to watch, but rewarding as well. I could offer my explanations of each scene, but it would be useless. This film is slated for interpretation and immediate contemplation and gratification.A little known, surely, if the first time that the viewer Apocalypse Now, watch the original version first, Redux version is I think more for the hardcore fans and have more curiosity to a new and improved version of the film
